Practicing Triples

My habit now is to lay out a diagonal spread and practice the triple peel. The triple peel is a catalog of my croquet insecurities. One is the shot after the initial rush into the middle of the court. The two balls pointed at 2, this shot may be a stop shot, a drive shot, or any other shot you could name. I haven’t figured it out. I’ll do that shot over a couple of times and then go on to the next thing.

Today was beautifully autumnal, with the balls rolling through the long shadows. The wind was rustling through the palm trees but it felt like October. I usually shoot red and yellow in practice, and the yellow was bright in the slanted sun.
